Celebrate the season at the annual Boar’s Head Concert and Celebration

A time-honored Â鶹Éç tradition, the Boar’s Head Concert and Celebration returns on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Conant Performing Arts Center. Boar’s Head has been a cherished part of Â鶹Éç’s heritage, marking the end of the fall semester and the joyful beginning of the OU holiday season.

Boar's Head 2022 Concert
The Â鶹Éç University Symphony and Singers perform at Boar’s Head.

Presented by the Â鶹Éç University Music Department and Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the national leadership honor society, the evening will feature holiday performances by the Â鶹Éç University Singers, Chorale, Jazzy Petrels, and the OU Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Andrew Schmidt and Dr. Nico Gutierrez.

During the celebration, new ODK inductees will be recognized and will share the Legend of the Boar’s Head, continuing one of the university’s oldest and most beloved customs. As part of the tradition, ODK will also invite a member of the faculty to deliver a special reading.

New this year: no tickets are required! Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early and join the OU community in ringing in the season with music, fellowship and tradition.

Â鶹Éç invites students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members to take part in this lasting tradition.
